What TESCIA Does
What does TESCIA do at TES?
TESCIA looks for different ways to support the students, staff, and families of TES. Here are a few examples of things we have organized and supported in the past:
• TES phone directory
• Halloween Night Event on Thetford Hill (Games, cider in the gardens, spooky forest)
• Funding for tarps and sand for the Outdoor Classrooms
• Decorative lighting on the front of TES for “Light Up Vermont” movement in 2020
• Teacher Appreciation Week
• Provide teachers with additional funding for classroom supplies.
Some purchases have included:
- class sets of binoculars - additional reading materials
- woodburning tools - band instruments
- flexible seating tools - science kits

Baking Donations If needed, provide baked goods for various school and family events.
Room Parent/Volunteer Room Volunteers’ roles may vary depending on teacher, but teachers may reach out for in school and out of school help.
School Day Volunteer (This role will likely not begin until 22/23) Something new we are working on developing - school day volunteers to help within school events and routines.
FALL EVENTS
For all fundraisers below... We need volunteers to help set dates, communicate with the company, promote fundraiser to TES Community.

Fall Catalog Fundraiser
Apparel Sale Fundraiser
Smith Maple/Red Kite Candy Fundraiser
Flower Bulb Fundraiser
Haunted Halloween Help plan, sort candy donations, create and/or volunteer at activities and games, help with pumpkin carving day, decorate/teardown event.
DECEMBER
Winter Light Display Assist with collecting and hanging lights outside of the school
MARCH/APRIL
Annual Science Fair Assist with planning, setup/teardown, Fair Evaluator
MAY
National Teacher Appreciation Week (May 2-6, 2022) Secure/prepare food donations and orders, setup/cleanup,
fun surprises for staff.
Scholastic Book Fair Organize books from vendor, setup/teardown, coordinate volunteers and work the sale (before/after school/on the weekend).
JUNE
Field Day Ice Cream Social Secure food items, setup/teardown, scoop ice cream
Last Day Luncheon for TES Staff We need volunteers to secure raffle items or gift cards, secure/prepare food donations and orders, setup/cleanup.
